Data data, everywhere you look
Today's New York Times reports more law enforcement agencies are using cell phone records as a routine tool.
We see the benefit in a case such as a child abduction or suicide calls, but civil liberty advocates express concern over privacy issues and constitutional rights. Seen as valuable data sources, the article quotes one training manual writing that cell phones are: "the virtual biographer of our daily activities."
